Breakup And Fortification At The Full Moon In Capricorn

6/29/2015

A particularly intense Capricorn Full Moon is upon us this week. This full moon happens to be conjunct Pluto - the planet I like to call "The Cosmic Poultice" because of its ability to dredge up the darkest material in ourselves that's ready to be released. A deeply emotional Cancer Sun and Mars in Cancer oppose this already stressed full moon, creating an atmosphere in which emotions may run especially high. Arguments and tense interactions are likely, especially between family or others we might consider to be our "clan" members. We have a powerful chance to get more grounded and pragmatic in our style of communications here - including the internal dialogues we hold within ourselves - but the road to common ground and inner peace could pose formidable challenges.

The Capricorn Full Moon will be exact on Wednesday, July 1 at 10:19 PM EDT. Individuals with key planets or points in the birth chart from 8 -10 degrees of Capricorn and Cancer will be most directly impacted, but the other cardinal signs of Aries and Libra will be notably impacted as well.

Pluto In Capricorn: An Unapologetic Restructuring Of Society

Pluto's passage through Capricorn from 2008 - 2023 is bringing profound and necessary change in the structure of society, as well as key changes in our own lives as the transits align. As a disclaimer, I say "necessary" change because quite simply put, Pluto is a planet associated with larger destiny that is often times out of our hands. We cannot move through a major Pluto transit untouched, nor can society experience major Pluto transits without undergoing radical change that forever shapes the collective destiny. Since Capricorn is associated with traditions, governments and institutions, rigidity, and resistance to change, Pluto is working to bring us face to face with that which no longer serves us there. Crises that destroy the old and thrust us into catharsis that moves us toward our Highest Good and empowerment - that is Pluto's role in our world.

In Capricorn, The Lord of the Underworld turns his attention to traditions or concepts of governance that don't serve our spiritual growth and evolution and aims to send them into oblivion.

The moon's triggering of this gate-crashing cosmic force is most certainly bringing ideas of tradition vs. change forward. This matches recent events in the United States as the Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage as a sweeping national law. We're seeing both ends of the spectrum in those who are calling this vote a long overdue win for human rights, and in those who are adamantly fighting against the ruling due to deeply-held religious beliefs.

This full moon will bring those contentious feelings to a boiling point. Individuals are rooting down into their own stances for the long haul, for better or for worse. Some people might experience epiphanies that help them "get real" about what really matters. It can have us putting differences aside and engaging in serious discussion to foster genuine understanding with those we love who hold different views. Some will root down stubbornly into their perspectives and act most harshly toward those who see things differently, possibly acting tyrannically in true Plutonian shadow-side manner. We might see people ostracizing those they love because of their own moral codes, deciding that principles are more important than the love we have to share between one another. Sometimes these separations are necessary for the sake of standing our ground and bringing forward meaningful change; sometimes they are unnecessarily damaging in the sense that it blocks the flow of the love we can always choose to give for the greater good.

Astrology As An Evolutionary "Check-In": Social Disaster Or Larger Destiny?

Regardless of one's views on the subject of GLBT rights, astrology provides us with a lens through which we can view the current social and political climate in a much more objective way. Whether traditionalists are in favor of recent developments or not, I must say that as an astrologer, this much is clear: we are in pivotal times of permanent transformation of the world in which we live.

We cannot expect any traditional viewpoints that don't hold up to what's really best for the human race to hold steady with the planetary influences we're experiencing now. The old ways are breaking up. Judging by the current alignments, they can only be doing so for the purpose of reconstructing societies in a way that clears the way for the creation of a new and deeper-reaching values system - a values system that might be dramatically different from that of which many of us grew up with. With Uranus still loosely squaring Pluto, radical change here is more than guaranteed.

Perhaps the current social upheaval in the US is a key part of a Divine plan to move us even closer to living in alignment with Oneness and Unity than ever before. Regardless of where each of us stands on this issue, the old ways are dying, and we are being challenged to declare what's really of lasting value and substance in our lives, to unearth what our deepest priorities are. Does dogma trump love? Is tradition more important than a change that secures each individual's right to live a life that's aligned with the core of who they feel they are? Can we love and celebrate the ones we love even if their beliefs on contentious issues differ from our own? Pluto has us asking difficult questions, and we'd all do well to spend time contemplating these issues in the coming days and weeks.

Beyond The Political: What's In This Full Moon For You

Human rights and religious issues aside, some key themes of Wednesday's Full Moon include:
  • Getting serious about commitments - especially in career and any commitments related to long-term goals - or relationship commitments
  • Addressing emotional or dependency issues that keep us from achieving goals or living more independent, self-sustaining lives
  • Cultivating no-nonsense, common-sense approaches to problem solving
  • Balancing intense emotions by becoming as grounded and rational as possible
  • Being brave enough to review and restructure old beliefs that separate us from living in Oneness with all of humanity
  • Facing deeper issues that keep us from moving forward on important goals and dreams
  • Tuning into deep love and compassion for yourself and others
  • Using art, music, meditation, or time spent in nature to soothe the harsher Capricorn energies
  • Manifesting magic in love, money, and friendships

Sun Trine Neptune And The Venus-Jupiter Conjunction: Love, Compassion, And Magic Abounds

The Cancer Sun is trining Neptune in Pisces, acting as a gateway through which love and compassion can flow from us to others in spite of the harsher energies at play. Tap into this love and channel it without reservation; go within and connect with the eternal love that resides within your being. Allow that love to pour forth into your choices to soothe the tension of any current difficulties. Intuition and artistic expression can also help relieve stress and provide insights for better problem-solving and breakthroughs.

Last but certainly not least, the most magical celestial connection of the week is the Jupiter-Venus conjunction. Not only is this planetary pairing giving us a glorious show in the skies, but it's still trine to out-of-the-box Uranus, making radical change and unexpected possibilities entirely possible. This is an especially auspicious time for Leo and Aries, but we're all undoubtedly channeling those good vibes somewhere. If you're not feeling it, use this full moon as an opportunity to tune back in to the possibility of joy and miracles!

Where do you want to be open to the greatest possibility for Divine magic to manifest miracles in your life? Take some time to feel into the Venus-Jupiter connection and let those energies speak to you of the limitless possibilities for creating the life you've always dreamed of. Blessings in love and money are highlighted, as are partnership issues of all kinds. Be open to miracles and allow incredible things to flow your way!

A somewhat tense Sun-Saturn aspect today is triggering themes connected with Saturn's re-entry into Scorpio (June 21, 2015 - September 17, 2015). Though the Solstice is a wonderful time to celebrate abundance and the joys of life, a need for adjustment in challenging areas of life may be evident today.

But the Universe is set to send us beautiful Solstice blessings from above! A positively magical trine between Jupiter and Uranus can lead to incredible events this week if we act on opportunities that fall into our laps. Work with the totality of these energies and you're on your way to obtaining the abundance of the Solstice in the coming months.

CAPRICORN

Issues related to your long-term goals and group involvements - and how to balance those efforts with time devoted to close friends and partners - are in focus for you at the Solstice. Saturn has moved back into your 11th House of Community and Future Goals, where it brought potentially difficult lessons and complex issues forward for you from 2012 - late 2014. As it brings your focus back to any issues here that are up for final review through mid-September, there is a need to take stock of how to balance time spent with a partner and those group involvements as the Sun moves into your 7th House of Relationship. This also spells out a potential need to integrate a relationship partner into your long-term roadmap. As driven as you are at your core, this influence could serve as a reminder that those close connections are just as important as achieving lofty goals. It could also help you learn discernment in how to choose friends and allies carefully, as this aspect could manifest in you meeting those who wish to connect with you only for personal gain. Give yourself and loved ones the gift of your time and presence while following through on career/community responsibilities for the greatest fulfillment in moving forward.

And speaking of relationships, your connections with an intimate partner or family member - as well as finances - are set to receive a powerful boost of cosmic energy! With Jupiter in your 8th House of Intimacy and Shared Resources trining Uranus in your 4th House of Home, you're aligned with near-magical synchronicity that can bring in a renewed sense of optimism and possibilities here. As Uranus breaks up old structures in your physical home, it just might be time to welcome the right relationship partner in. This aspect could also bring unexpected financial gain by way of a family member, be it through conscious gift-giving or inheritance.

AQUARIUS

You might be experiencing an upset in daily routines as a result of career pressures now. Saturn has back-tracked into your 10th House of Career, where it brought the possibility for deep structural changes from 2012 - late 2014. You might have experienced difficult relations with authority figures, or found yourself in a position to take on a great deal of responsibility during that time. These issues are up for one last review for you through mid-September so you can master them once and for all. You might be experiencing a reactivation of those energies today at the Solstice as the Sun forms a difficult aspect to Saturn from your 6th House of Vocation and Self-Improvement. Are your current career duties putting a strain on your well-being? If so, can you adjust your work habits or other routines to bring about more harmony? Do you need to adjust your current routines and habits to rise to the occasion of work challenges? Striving to find the most effective balance here will help you achieve your goals while cultivating more balance in everyday life.

With Jupiter in your 7th House of Relationship trining Uranus in your 3rd House of Communications, celestial magic might drop abundance or new friendship connections directly onto your path by way of your immediate social circle. You could find yourself forming partnerships or alliances that lead to opportunities to learn new concepts or teach others what you know. Sibling connections could also serendipitously link you to new friends this week. Either way, you're due for a significant shake-up in perspectives and your own style of communication, and new and old friends alike could be your link to big epiphanies.

PISCES

With Saturn moving back into your 9th House of Travel and Higher Truths and the Solstice Sun in Cancer in your 5th House of Romance and Creativity, you might feel a bittersweet tug between a desire to play or spend time with children versus a need to focus on furthering your education in some way. With Saturn in your 9th House from 2012 - late 2014, you might have entered into a serious program of study then, or found yourself feeling restricted by way of limiting moral or religious influences. One blessing of this particular transit is the opportunity for putting a solid belief system under your feet...sometimes by way of experiencing limitations that bring you into new ways of seeing the world first. A simpler possibility is that your desire to travel and explore the world is on hold due to some re-emerging issues. You'll have from now through mid-September to revisit these issues as a final wrap-up. With the Solstice Sun forming a challenging link to Saturn, it's time to consider how you can cultivate balance in these areas. Study, but make room for fun; explore as you're able and use what you find to lead to greater self-expression.

With this week's magnificent Jupiter-Uranus trine lighting up your 2nd House of Money and 6th House of Vocation and Self-Improvement, big changes at work could lead to a boost in finances. On a less tangible level, you could find yourself in a position to make changes in your daily routine that lead to an increase in resources. Since the 6th House is also related to health, you might discover new resources that can lead to health breakthroughs. With Venus on her way to meet with Jupiter, you could be connected with new friends or potential relationship partners in these areas.

LIBRA

The Solstice Sun and Saturn are putting your current focus on career and financial issues. Saturn has regressed into your 2nd House of Money, calling your attention back to challenging issues that may have been up for you in this area from 2012 - late 2014. The Cancer Sun's entry into your 10th House of Career creates dynamic tension here, highlighting a need for a an adjustment in circumstances. Are you ready to move into greater financial abundance? Will a change of career - perhaps a daunting one, but one in which you are up to the challenge of - provide you with more physical security? Are issues of self-confidence and valuation blocking you from moving forward with necessary career changes? Saturn is providing you with a potent review period here from now until mid-September, giving you a chance to get serious about strengthening your general resources base. When you rise to the occasion, you'll be poised to reap solid rewards that directly impact your public image and self-confidence while ensuring long-term security.

The current Jupiter-Uranus trine is set to work some serious magic for you in relationships, your larger circle of friends, and your ability to achieve long-term goals. As Uranus continues its work of liberating you in your 7th House of Relationship and Jupiter prepares to open the gates wide to abundance in your 11th House of Community and Future Goals, you might find that you have an opportunity to enter into radical new partnerships that can bring forward networking opportunities. You might also find that a new relationship or financial windfall flows in by way of connecting with those of like-mind in your community or chosen profession.

SCORPIO

This year's solstice may strike a particularly familiar yet challenging chord for you. With Saturn having backtracked into your 1st House of Identity - where it brought great challenges in solidifying your persona and sense of authority from 2012 - late 2014 - it's time to revisit those lessons to master them once and for all. You may feel limited in your ability to initiate action from now until mid-September, but a connection from the Cancer Sun in your 9th House of Travel and Higher Learning  suggests that you can enjoy greater freedom in life as you move through challenges here. Are you finding yourself taking on extra responsibilities, perhaps those connected to higher education? Do you feel impelled to put in serious effort to achieve goals so you can embrace new possibilities, explore the world, or experience more liberation in life? The Solstice Sun-Saturn connection reveals that the way to freedom - and the promise of abundance that the Summer Solstice holds for you - is through hard work and conscientious evaluation of your life path.

If your current aspirations center on vocation and career endeavors, this week's Jupiter-Uranus trine is poised to open the gates wide to plenty of synchronicity for you here. With Jupiter in your 10th House of Career in a powerful trine to Uranus in your 6th House of Vocation and Self-Improvement, you just might experience a miracle or two that takes you to the next level in your profession. Opportunities for increased financial abundance or pivotal career connections may flow in as Venus approaches benevolent Jupiter, and By working hard and staying the course, you can recognize and harness new opportunities as they arise.

SAGITTARIUS

With the planetary task-master Saturn having been in your 1st House of Identity from late December 2014 through June 14, you've been challenged to restructure your self-concept and step into a greater sense of your own authority. For now, Saturn has slipped back into deep waters in your 12th House of Spirituality. What does that mean for you at the Summer Solstice? For one thing, it means that you are now in a position to revisit issues related to limiting past perceptions or blockages in the area of sex and intimacy. As the Cancer Sun moves into your 8th House of Intimacy and Shared Resources, it forms a tense link to Saturn indicating a need for adjustment - adjustment that calls you to allow fears to dissolve that keep you from diving into those sacred waters on a deeper level. Physical love can be a spiritual experience, and the only way to fully commune with the body, mind, and soul of another is to allow restrictive walls to crumble. This connection also indicates that it may be time for a change in finances, especially in financial arrangements involving others' money that must come to an end. Are you willing to go deeply within yourself to heal that which prevents you from obtaining greater financial independence? Are you willing to commit to a plan for creating a more solid savings account? To paying off debts? These issues will be highlighted for you until mid-September, when Saturn moves back into your 1st House...do the work you feel impelled to do now, and you'll be much better-prepared to face Saturn's upcoming challenges in your life.

This week's Jupiter-Uranus trine is opening the door for near-magical abundance for you in your 9th House of Travel and Higher Truths and your 6th House of Vocation and Self-Improvement. Opportunities for greater freedom and a broadening of your worldview may come via new opportunities at work, or you might be presented with opportunities to expand your skills base through contact with those outside your everyday circle. Long-distance travel or contact with foreigners could lead to new job opportunities, or vice versa. It's also possible that these experiences could lead to unexpected financial gifts or meeting new friends or potential relationship partners with Venus on her way to join with Jupiter.

2015 Summer Solstice Horoscopes: Cancer, Leo, Virgo

CANCER

Its your time to shine as the sun moves into your sign, Cancer! Your natural qualities of love, compassion, and warmth are highlighted, as this time of year always brings an invigoration of your self-expression. However, this year's Summer Solstice is not without its challenges for you. There's a potential stressful re-emergence of situations related to your core identity and how that translates into romance, creative projects, or interactions with children. This may require some adjustment on your part as Saturn backtracks into your 5th House of Romance and Creativity. Think back to difficult issues that may have cropped up in these areas from 2012 - late 2014. These are the issues, insecurities, or hard life lessons that are up for you to review, revisit, and wrap up once and for all. Do you express your authentic self when getting to know a potential relationship partner? Do you let your true creative expression shine out without hesitation? Do you need to make a change in how you relate to your own children or children you interact with regularly? Saturn asks you to put solid effort into attaining mastery in creativity, to act with confidence here, and to become your own authority when it comes to that which brings you joy. This aspect could also show a need for channeling maturity in pleasure-seeking (partying, gambling, and so on) to uphold your reputation.

You're in a position to benefit from an exceptionally magical trine between Jupiter and Uranus when it comes to money and career status. These planets are clearing the way for unexpected windfalls in your 2nd House of Money and 10th House of Career. This might come via a major change in your public image (perhaps a promotion or a new job?) that opens wide the pipeline of financial abundance. It's also possible that a new relationship or business connection could lead to greater financial abundance, and may come via career connections one way or another with Venus approaching Jupiter - a reason to celebrate at the solstice, indeed!

LEO

You might experience re-emerging difficulties on the home and family front relating to elements of your inner life that you keep hidden. These issues could include insecurities, fears, addiction, or escapism - anything that is ready to come up for deep healing. You might feel called to venture deeply within your own psyche for soul-seeking that can lead to renewed peace and structures at home. Saturn has re-entered your 4th House of Home, bringing the more serious aspects of your focus back to issues that may have been prominent from 2012 - late 2014. You might also find that any difficult situations related to family dynamics and responsibilities lead to a sense of disillusionment or confusion, especially with the possibility of secrets and hidden information coming to light. With the Sun in your 12th House of Spirituality, it's a time to let go of limiting pride or ego and explore the more subjective realms of consciousness. Prayer, meditation, or retreats can quiet the mind and allow for inner guidance to emerge. The wisdom you find here can guide you in strengthening your home base, or in bringing long-standing issues to a close.

With exceptionally lucky Jupiter trining Uranus this week, you are poised to experience a renewed sense of self through opportunities that may come from long-distance travel or contact with foreigners. These are all strong possibilities with Jupiter in your 1st House of Identity and Uranus calling you to defy contention in your 9th House of Travel and Higher Learning. Less literally, opportunities may seem to fall into your lap that edify your self-concept and clear the way for higher truths to emerge. New opportunities in higher education - or anything that gets you breaking up old routines to experience foreign concepts - could lead to financial windfalls or meeting new friends or lover interests thanks to Venus preparing to meet up with Jupiter.

VIRGO

This year's Summer Solstice highlights the need for making adjustments in contracts and agreements in order to achieve long-term goals. As Saturn continues to backtrack into Scorpio, it will turn your focus back to potentially complex issues tied to contracts - as well as those impacting your daily activities, teaching/learning, or siblings - that might have been up for you from 2012 - late 2014. From now through mid-September, you have an opportunity to take stock of whether your current commitments are serving your bigger dreams and aspirations, and to make final decisions that best serve your interests. Is your immediate neighborhood the place you feel you really belong now? Are there re-emerging boundary issues between you and those with whom you interact with most on a daily basis? Now is the time to get serious about connecting with social groups and organizations that can help you meet your goals, or to contemplate how you can rearrange your daily affairs to not only live your dreams, but impact the human family by doing so.

There's magic in the air for you now by way of blessings that may come from hidden or unexpected sources. These may come via surprise gifts of money or inheritances from a family member or the forging of new business partnerships. With Jupiter in your 12th House of Spirituality and Uranus in your 8th House of Intimacy and Shared Resources, you might find that it is through perceived loss or letting go of old circumstances that profound possibilities present themselves. Be willing to let go and trust that the Universe has incredible things in store when you allow intuition to be your guide.

2015 Summer Solstice Horoscopes: Aries, Taurus, Gemini

6/21/2015

Picture

ARIES

You might be feeling tension in your home and private life related to sexual intimacy or shared resources as the Sun enters your 4th House of home, activating the energies of Saturn in the deep psychological territory of your 8th House. These issues will carry the overtones of similar scenarios that might have been life themes for you from 2012 - late 2014, and will serve as a final "wrap-up" of whatever those issues might have been between now and mid-September. Saturn will help you strengthen partnerships made to last and bring closure to the ones that aren't; to get serious about solidifying your financial resources base, perhaps through a somewhat restrictive change in spending and saving habits. By delving deeply into your own psyche and emotional impulses, you're in a powerful position to release that which no longer serves you so you can create a more harmonious home environment.

On a lighter note, the current Jupiter-Uranus trine is activating potential for unexpected breakthroughs in your 1st and 5th Houses. It's prime time to reinvent yourself through play and healthy risk-taking - a perfect counterbalance for the heavier Sun-Saturn energies in effect. A relationship that breaks you out of your comfort zone and renews your sense of self could be waiting in the wings, especially as Venus approaches Jupiter in your 5th House of Romance. A creative project could also serve to bring rewards and validation of your talents and capabilities, or you might have especially positive experiences related to children. Blend the deep Sun-Saturn work with the joy and serendipity of Jupiter-Uranus and you're well on your way to harnessing the abundance of the Solstice in the coming weeks.

TAURUS

This Solstice puts your focus on revisiting relationship commitments or other alliances (including rivalry situations) and how to adjust your perceptions to align with potentially challenging realities here. Saturn's trek back into your 7th House of Relationships and the Sun's ingress into your 3rd House of Communication shows that you may be learning how to adapt your communication style due to relationship pressures, or to revisit old personal or work relationship issues so you can enact permanent, positive change. Saturn, the task-master of the Zodiac, made its way through your 7th House from 2012 - late 2014, so think of where you felt called to do serious work in your 1-1 relationships then. Those issues are back for a final review and culmination period from now through mid-September. This might also show a need to revisit personal or business contracts - perhaps issues involving siblings - and to make final commitments one way or another. You could also find yourself taking on new skills or teaching responsibilities related to a partnership, or learning to balance daily commitments in a way that's beneficial for you and a partner. Either way, this is a time to adjust your daily activities to fulfill your end of an agreement, and to embrace new viewpoints and ways of communicating.

This week's near-magical trine between Jupiter and Uranus is conspiring to bring about wonderful new beginnings related to home and family life. These are changes that may have roots in profound inner transformation (think mystical, soul-level epiphanies). With Uranus in your 12th House of Spirituality and Jupiter traveling through your 4th House of Home and Family, you might experience powerful revelations that lead to spiritual breakthroughs, those that change your self-concept from within. Breakthroughs here may directly relate to positive changes at home, perhaps involving financial windfalls or positive change in family relationships with Venus on her way to meet up with generous Jupiter.

GEMINI

The current spotlight for you is on re-emerging challenges related to health and work life, and how those challenges may be causing tension for you in matters of financial security or self-esteem. Saturn is back in your 6th House of Health and Vocation, where it brought deeper issues to light from 2012 - late 2014.  As the Sun enters your 2nd House of Finances at the Solstice and triggers serious Saturn, health issues may give rise to anxieties about monetary security. You might also find that a difficult work scenario - perhaps involving supervisors, might lead to your taking on increased responsibilities, asserting your authority, or to leaving a job that no longer serves you. Challenging experiences from now through mid-September may bring lessons that can actually strengthen your overall state of health or work affairs in the end if you choose to take pragmatic action, even if it means moving through temporary setbacks. Do you feel valued in the workplace? Could the exploration of issues related to self-esteem lead to healing of any kind? These are excellent questions to ask now as the sweet Cancer Sun calls you to embrace self-love and respect in all parts of life.

Despite ongoing challenges, there's magic in the air for you when it comes to long-term goals and new connections that can open those doors. 2015 Summer Solstice: The Change That Leads To Abundance

The Summer Solstice on June 21 marks a time of abundance and fullness of light in the Northern Hemisphere.  The longest day of the year in daylight hours brings a feeling of comfort and ease as the sun slips into Cancer, the sign of the Eternal Mother, the Womb, the ways in which we are provided for by earthly nurturers and Mother Earth alike. We've officially come out on the other side of winter's difficulties and entered into the kind embrace of warm weather. Fields and forests have awakened with the miraculous vibrance of primal life, and a soft sense of peace and ease permeates the natural world. We can let our guard down and relax here; we rest in the arms of The Great Mother now.

The Summer Solstice is a powerful time for connecting deeply with nature to celebrate the joys of Heaven manifested in the physical form. The veil between the worlds is thinner now, and we can transcend the physical self in knowing that when we honor Earth and all life here, we honor the Divine Life Force that resides in us all.

Summer Solstice 2015: Sun Inconjunct Saturn

Though the Summer Solstice is the perfect time to feel joy and gratitude in our hearts for the blessings of abundance our lives, this year's solstice brings a certain degree of tension. The sweet Cancer sun forms an inconjunct to Saturn, the taskmaster planet that slipped back into Scorpio last Sunday. Saturn in Scorpio from 2012 - late 2014 brought challenging lessons in the areas of intimacy, shared and personal resources, and relationship boundaries. It also dredged up buried fears, insecurities, and shadow elements within ourselves - especially fears and neuroticism relating to money and relationships. We're all up for one last review of these issues until mid-September when Saturn treks forward into Sagittarius.

With the Solstice Sun inconjunct Saturn, we might feel an air of seriousness at the gateway to a new season. This aspect is all about adjustments and change, and the possibility these changes hold for bringing about more abundance in our lives; the trick to reaping those rewards is that we must choose to rise to the occasion.

Where do we feel we need to exercise more of our capacity for taking on responsibility or leadership roles? Where in our lives do we need to strengthen our personal boundaries, or to let our guard down and allow fears dissolve so we can let beautiful things in? How can we strengthen our financial resources base individually or in situations involving shared resources? What work must be done in order for us to live the dreams of fullness that dance in our hearts - dreams that lie dormant while waiting for our inner and outer circumstances to align?

This aspect also implies that we may need to bring about endings - or step into gutsy new beginnings - in order to make headway. If we dig deeply and commit to inner growth and outer change, the abundance brought forward by the Summer Solstice can be ours.

Jupiter Trine Uranus: Miracles, Fun, And Good, Good Luck

Benevolent Jupiter and lightning-fast Uranus form an exact trine this week. This will imbue the Solstice with a "good news out of thin air" energy and a powerful feel-good aspect that's sure to offset the more serious Sun-Saturn vibe. This combination can bring unexpected windfalls or genius new ideas that seemingly fall into our laps, especially since these planets are currently in fire signs. We just might find ourselves getting that extra helping hand, that big or little miracle, when we need it most. This is a wonderful energy for celebrations, so make the most of it at its peak!

Also worth noting is a final square between Mercury and Neptune, a pairing that points us in the direction of using intuition to find clarity from the Solstice through June 24. A mini-Mercury retrograde environment may ensue that brings issues that cropped up in May to a close, but it's a perfect time to check out of linear thoughts and "go with the flow". This is a good chance to explore the more subjective, imaginative realms of consciousness. Dancing, dreaming, and meditating are just a few of the possible gateways to receiving inner guidance under this influence.

*~May you find peace, joy, and comfort at this magical time of year; may you know that you are always held in the heart of the Divine; and may you know the love, beauty, and capacity for manifesting miracles that resides within you now and always!~*

New Moon In Gemini: Seeing The World Through New Eyes

6/3/2015

I don't know about you, but the last Mercury Retrograde cycle had a profound impact on me. In combination with a very intense Sagittarius Full Moon on June 2, Neptune's dramatically emotional station on June 12, and Mercury turning direct the very next day, I've found myself feeling rerouted, realigned, and refreshed in my ability to see the path before me in radical new ways.

Think back to May 18 - the day that Mercury turned retrograde - and take a mental walk-through of events and realizations you might have experienced since then. Mercury rules Gemini, so its energies and the themes from its last retrograde cycle reign supreme at this new moon.

The Gemini New Moon, which will be exact on Tuesday, June 16 at 10:05 AM EDT, is also strongly imbued with the energies of Neptune, as was the entire Mercury retrograde period...and Mercury and Neptune still have one last meet-up during which they will complete that work from June 21 - 24.

Have you had a chance to revisit old issues that were up for addressing during that time? Did you happen to meet up with people from your past or have the opportunity to see how far you've come since then? Were you finding yourself faced with revisiting emotionally-charged situations from the past in which new realizations came to light?

This is the time to boldly face the truth of those situations, or any situation you find yourself contemplating now, and to look at life through a new lens. As Wayne Dyer has famously said, "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change". This is a powerful, true statement that points to the Law of Attraction in action in our lives. When we adopt new perspectives that grow our soul and serve our Highest Good, we are in a position to use powerful spiritual alchemy to change the course of most any situation we choose.

Into The New Moon's Belly: The Mercury-Neptune Connection

Love, loss, and longing were heightened by the Neptune Station Retrograde on June 12, as were intuition, artistic inspiration, and compassion that transcends the boundaries of time and space. That combined with a simultaneous Mercury Station Direct brought past emotional issues to a head for many. The potent thing about this synchronistic timing is that while the memories that resurfaced might have been painful, Mercury acted as a powerful trigger to get many of us moving forward in unprecedented ways. This is also due in part to Mercury's current sextile to revolutionary and intuitive Uranus, the planet that throws down entirely unexpected plot twists so we can experience the joys of liberation that come from walking our own path.

Neptune's apparent backtracking motion showed a need to revisit old emotions or losses, but perhaps was also our signal that it's time to let go of the ways of the past. With Mercury having simultaneously stood still before moving forward on June 11, our minds and hearts were finally called to move forward in a bold new direction, too.

Embracing Fresh Perspectives & Brave New Beginnings

How do we see the world? How many ways of seeing the world are there? Infinitely many, if we are honest. Though it's easy to become rigid in adhering to our own views at times, Gemini is a sign that revels in exploring as many perspectives as possible, and with an almost insatiable need to learn, be, and do more. The Twins are never contended with stagnation; they must go further to uncover every bit of truth and possibility in an attempt to make sense of the world on a mental level.

We're called to embrace The Twins' capacity for broad seeing and sensing now. Are we versatile, flexible, and open-minded enough to understand just how diverse human perspectives are and to respect those differences? Can we allow the light to refract a little differently on an old situation or an outdated picture of ourselves, our life path, or our own intelligence and capacity for success to allow for new beginnings? New cosmic light is shining through to help us make use of that which came to light at the Sagittarius Full Moon and the direction in which it called our hearts to go. Now is the time to plant any new dreams in Gemini's imaginative, fertile soil.

With the Sun, Moon, and Mars - the planet of bravely blazing our own trails and channeling courage in our actions - all in on this new moon, we have the opportunity to:
  • Summon up the courage to view old and potentially painful situations through new eyes that allow for liberation from the past
  • Embrace the ability to see life circumstances clearly from a more detached, objective, and accurate perspective
  • Channel the bravery it takes to release deep past relationship ties, dreams, or "life pictures" that are no longer for our Highest Good. To quote Joseph Campbell, "We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us."
  • Stand up and claim our right to our own perspectives
  • Confidently express ourselves on all levels, especially in matters that involve a difference in viewpoints and opinions
  • Channel wit, cleverness, and mental agility to come up with innovative solutions and pathways to success

Another powerful component of this new moon is Saturn's re-entry into Scorpio on June 14. Saturn occupied Scorpio from 2012 to December 2014, where it brought issues associated with intimate relationships, finances, shared resources, and buried fears to the forefront. With Saturn back in Scorpio until mid-September, we're being provided with one last opportunity to revisit those lessons for greater mastery and to integrate them more fully into our lives. As such, our focus at this new moon may involve themes around relationships and money especially.

To find out where this new moon is affecting you most directly, find the house in your birth chart that contains 25 degrees of Gemini and the house that falls across from it. This is where your perspectives are up for powerful change and reconfiguration, and where you have the capacity to boldly move in the direction of your dreams!
