Venus, Air Fuels Fire, and the Call to Unity, Community, and Innovation
Brigid - Goddess of Inspiration, by Emily Balivet, shared for her associations with Fire, Protection, and Health. We begin with VENUS, the Goddess of Love, Balance, and Harmony. She moves into GEMINI today, where she'll stay until August 7 due to her turning RETROGRADE from mid-May through late June. This sets the stage for events already unfolding re: the changing nature of our social landscape in the face of a pandemic, finding innovative ways to collaborate and stay connected despite physical distancing, and the likelihood of summer plans not moving forward as intended. This also points to the need to reconfigure our relationship structures in general re: stepping beyond judgment to understand new points of view (which connects to the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse on June 5 in a big way), and exploring our current values system as it pertains to new information that comes to light.
What's more, Venus is OUT OF BOUNDS until 6/1, meaning that she's operating outside of the norm within the scope of all she represents. This bodes well for breakthroughs in communication (and using our intelligence to come out on top of COVID-19 together), engaging with society in ways we haven't done before. Breaking free from relationship constraints; artistic and creative breakthroughs; unique and unusual expression in fashion and personal aesthetics.
Between the influence of VENUS, MARS making its way through rebellious, ingenious AQUARIUS, and SATURN in Aquarius - and a SUPERMOON on 4/7 in LIBRA, a sign that Venus rules - Air is fueling Fire fiercely. Change, collaboration, and solidarity abounds, giving us an impassioned push to think on our feet and brainstorm creative solutions.
And thank goodness, for as the month goes on, many challenges await: navigating the flair of tempers as old wounds are triggered, facing fears, grief, vulnerability and ideas around mortality in ways that many in the Western world have not done before; collective trauma; feelings of limitation and "stuckness" as we continue to navigate a time when we might feel as if there's one foot on the gas, and another on the brake. One moment brings tremendous breakthroughs; another might bring feelings of defeat and despair.
But through it all, one thing remains: the wisdom and intelligence of the Soul, the tenacity of the human spirit, and the call to step into our power as sovereign beings to bring about a better world.

The Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction, Pluto Retrograde, and Incoming Earth Energies
JUPITER meets with PLUTO in the first of three conjunctions in 2020 at 24 degrees Capricorn. Rich opportunities for growth and expansion lie in facing our fears, going deeper than feelings of helplessness or despair to get to the HEART of the matter: what the underlying purpose of what's unfolding might be, digging deeply to find our Truth and Callings, and looking the old structures and programming in the eye, saying "I see you. I call your bluff. Now, this is who I AM, and the Divine Truth and I AM embodying here and now." Claiming personal sovereignty; feeling the power of our Earthy Mother thrumming beneath our feet straight into our Roots and Hearts. Remembering who we are and what we came to do.
This conjunction brings the strength of The Mountain, of old wisdom that resides in the bones of the Earth and indigenous traditions, including the wisdom and healing of plants, rocks, and gemstones; the need to tunnel deeper, deeper to find the riches buried below. It may be helpful to tune into the Telluric energy currents (Earth-based energies), your own Kundalini flow, or Dragon energy to tap your strength and potential, and tunnel to the heart of The Mountain to access gifts that lie waiting.
The events transpiring now will absolutely shape our generation, and events now in motion will shape our world well beyond that.
Physical abundance and prosperity will also manifest in unprecedented ways for those aligned with these energies, who set their Hearts and Minds to it. Healing crises are not uncommon at this time, and can feel downright visceral and scary moving through them. But as someone who is quite Plutonian/Persephone in nature, I say this: there is nothing we cannot face and come out stronger, clearer, and more empowered for it. Collectively, we are The Phoenix Rising, and sometimes things must crumble so they can be rebuilt more solidly than ever.
The Sun moves into TAURUS on 4/19 and MERCURY follows suit on the 27th, bringing greater Earth energy and more initial stability. The TAURUS NEW MOON on the 22nd (Earth Day) brings challenge, as it’s conjunct URANUS and squaring SATURN/PALLAS ATHENA. But themes of radical change re: our relationship to wealth, resources, Mother Earth, sensuality, all things from the good, tilled earth are up for new beginnings, and new levels of personal grounding and stability are available to us if we align and do the work.
