But first, on the day that Venus meets Uranus at 29 degrees of Taurus for the last time in 80 years, a reflection on some of the key manifestations of Uranus in Taurus...
URANUS brings innovation, change, greater freedom, shakeups of the status quo, and the unexpected wherever it goes. It's often associated with social trends and societal shifts, and involve technology to greater or lesser degrees depending on the sign it's transiting.
TAURUS is all things earthy, concerned with the foundational aspects of daily life. Money and wealth. Physical stability. The accumulation of resources, and the cultivation of skills and talents needed to provide for oneself and others. Feeling good in the body; all the sensual pleasures.
Taurus doesn't like change archetypally; stability is the way. Uranus *loves* to stir the pot. This hasn't been the smoothest ride, but for better or worse, there's no denying our world was utterly different in the pre-COVID era than it is now.
In a list (explored in greater depth in the upcoming video), some of the main societal shifts from Uranus's ingress into Taurus in 2025 to the present include:
And lastly, in late 2022, a new offering called "Youth Retirement homes" or retreat centers emerged in China, followed by similar facilities being built in Malaysia in early 2026. This trend comes on the heels of burned-out young professionals (Gen Z) seeking a quieter, low-stress life in direct contrast to the intense pressure and high stakes of modern life in these countries.
It's reminiscent of the boom in Gen Z'ers around the world who are shunning modern life and many technologies to pursue a life more connected to the land via homesteading, "Granny Hobbies/Nonna Maxxing," minimalist technology, the "Tech-to-Farm" pipeline, ordering only decaf coffee from their favorite coffee shop no matter the time of day.
The outer planets - Saturn (debatably), Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto - show larger societal trends. I've heard it said, and will agree, that the outer planets play a large role in shaping personal "destiny" due to shifts in collective circumstances. It's easy and fascinating to see these changes at work if you know the language of astrology, and bring a curious eye and mind to your own self and the world around you.

- The digitization of money; Cryptocurrency, "going cashless" and the rise of platforms like Venmo and CashApp
- The creation of the Metaverse, where you can buy "property" in a world that's entirely digital. An article from PatentPC estimates that $9.1 billion has been spent on such properties as of 2026!
- Post-COVID lifestyle overhauls including the Work From Home movement, the "gig economy" (people working a variety of short-term jobs with no permanent stable income)
- The US National Parks saw a surge in visitors in 2021, prompting many parks to cap the allowed number of visitors to protect vulnerable landscapes; and increased popularity in the number of people leaving traditional homes and jobs to pursue vanlife post-COVID
