Greetings, lovely souls!

Today is a hugely significant day astrologically. Mars is currently at 29 degrees of Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac, before moving into its home sign of ARIES later today. We are in for a momentous "rush forward" collectively (as Rick Levine put it) - a flood of energy, passion, and drive.

But first, a bit about Mars at 29 Pisces...

As the final sign of the Zodiac - the sign that holds the energies of all the signs in its cosmic wombspace of release and endings, "All Is One" consciousness, deep compassion, and memory - you might find yourself feeling sentimental as something from the past comes back to greet you one last time.

It takes Mars about 2 years to travel the Zodiac, so Mars arrives at 29 Pisces ever 2 years give or take. So what makes today's shift from Pisces into Aries so pivotal?

The still-active Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries, or Zero Point, sets the stage for a different stage that's set entirely (and that's probably a vast understatement!). This is the Big Bang point of the Zodiac - the point of brave new beginnings, where we are unafraid to charge forward with our goals and aspirations. Though Saturn and Neptune have moved on from 0 Aries, to 2 and 6 degrees Aries respectively, the energy of their conjunction at 0 sets a tone that any transiting planet activates.

Because this energy is one that quite literally set the stage for the birth of Western civilization at the Neolithic Revolution, Mars arriving at this point lights a torch that ignites this potential into its earliest stages of outward manifestation. All the pieces are there; it's Mars at that point in its home sign that sets more pivotal events into motion, and quickly. ​

When Mars is in Aries, we feel a sudden burst of energy again; as if all the free-floating, confusion, and potential ennui of Mars in Pisces has disappeared and we are ready to tackle life full-on. Aries is the Warrior sign, and Mars the warrior planet is its ruler. Mars is vitality, passion, courage, and zest for life. It's also anger, aggression, insensitivity, and toxic Masculine tendencies. 

At the beginning of this new 2-year Mars cycle, we are likely to feel a lot of reignited drive to accomplish goals. It's always easier to get started when the cardinal signs are activated (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). On the flip side, Aries can be impulsive, prone to impatience coupled with anger when things aren't moving fast enough or going a certain way. 

I'd love to tell you that this particular Mars transit is sunshine and roses - "Full steam ahead! YAY!" But alas, the Cosmos has some other growth in store for us this time around.

Remember my mention of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, with both planets still in the early degrees of Aries? When Mars meets up with these planets - first Neptune, then Saturn - we're due for some challenges, followed by epiphanies and breakthroughs if we do the required work.

I plan to break down MARS-SATURN in subsequent posts, but for now, let's talk about the upcoming MARS-NEPTUNE conjunction at 2 degrees Aries, exact APRIL 13.

​MARS-NEPTUNE: A Mastodon sliding down a slushy hill...

This might sound like a strange analogy. But it's exactly the imagery I was given when meditating on how to best describe this conjunction. A mastodon: primal, massive, so much strength and force. But when that primal energy (Mars!) meets with Neptune (slippery slope, clouded circumstances, next steps being "unclear," can't get the kind of traction you wish you could), an entirely different approach is required. 

Think about skiing, snowboarding, or hiking down such terrain. You are in a dance with the elements. Sometimes the elements win. But if you want to navigate it as successfully as possible, hopefully arriving at the bottom of the hill on your feet and ready for the Next Big Adventure having come through another necessary rite of passage (it's coming, believe me), you've got to clear this strangeness first. This is going to feel a little like Mercury or Mars retrograde - best-laid plans going out the window in terms of best approach, or the realization that what you thought you were after isn't quite where you need to be. 

The strategy? Imagine yourself careening down that hill, eyes locked on the target, focus sharp. The slush beneath you makes the journey unpredictable, but you can utilize intelligence, instinct/intuition, and quick reflexes to navigate the wonk (and wonk it will be, especially if you have personal planets near 2 degrees of the cardinal signs mentioned earlier, or perhaps even the late degrees of the mutable signs of Sagittarius, Gemini, and Virgo). You are in relationship with what's happening around you, bringing your willpower and ability to respond effectively to any situation. 

This is true alchemical power. This is you embodying the Sorcerer/Sorceress, tapping your inherent Divine ability to shape your reality. A part of the growth opportunity of this conjunction is realizing that sometimes we must relinquish control to forces we don't understand. We have to let go. We have to trust. And when we do, miraculous things can happen!

Suggested activities for blowing that Martian steam and channeling your energy into something useful, productive, and magical: 

• Long workouts that help activate focus and intuitive spark
• Yoga
• Breathwork
• Drumming, alone or in a drum circle
• Dance (think ecstatic dance especially!)
• Any kind of jam session
• Deep spiritual work
• Deep immersions into nature and adventure (double-check details and logistics - left-braining doesn't work so well when Neptune/Pisces energy is strong)

This conjunction is excellent for channeling physical energy, drive, or frustration/anger into something spiritual or artistic.

Become one with the Force. Feel the Force flow through you!

Here's a brief overview this month's Mars transits - impassioned, supercharged, gloves off and ready to roll!

• April 9: Mars enters Aries through May 18
• April 13: Mars conjunct Neptune, 2 degrees Aries. A 2-year cycle of passionate, spiritually-inspired and creative action begins!
• April 16: Mars sextile Pluto, 5 degrees Aries/Aquarius. Wonderful for channeling willpower and desire into something far-reaching and potent. Impassioned, revolutionary energies. Empowered change that feels good...but this coincides with the SUN-CHIRON conjunction at 26 Aries. Painful triggers may come up, but the Mars-Pluto influence lends the courage and fortitude we need for healing, empowerment, and autonomy. You are the most powerful creator in your life!
• April 17: Side-mention of the ARIES NEW MOON at 27 degrees. The aspects on April 16 and 19 respectively play a major role in the new beginnings we experience now! Watch this space for more.
• April 19: Mars conjunct Saturn, 7 degrees Aries. A new 2-year cycle of sustained effort, stamina, and willpower channeled into a bigger goal. Delays and frustration are normal, as is flares of anger and impatience at perceived roadblocks. Success over the coming months and years is determined by your ability to show up consistently, never losing sight of the goal and putting in the elbow grease required for success. Old systems breaking, fracture points literally and metaphorically. Watch for anger manifesting as physical injury or accidents. We won't get what you want overnight because there are other lessons to be learned, and strength to be cultivated. Don't tousle with authority in battles you aren't likely to win; be smart and think long haul. 
• April 20: Mercury conjunct Mars, 8 degrees Aries. Intense mental activity. Passionate (or angry) exchange of ideas. Violent ideologies manifesting as physical confrontation. A fabulous time to get working on a project you've been procrastinating on, so long as you see it as a long-term project that will reap big rewards with time. This coincides with the Mars-Saturn conjunction. Don't buy into limiting thoughts and opinions - set the course, do the work, see it done!

Greetings, lovely souls, and welcome to the beginnings of my brand new spiritual and healing arts blog!

After many years away due to chronic mystery illness and post-concussion challenge, I am thrilled to be back merging old offerings with the new. 

As a first reconnection with you here, I am sharing a channeling from my spirit guides about this weekend's SATURN-PLUTO sextile at the bottom of this post - planets whose influences lead to powerful manifestation magic when meeting in harmonious aspect. 

​Of course, Saturn is also still within range of a conjunction to Neptune in Aries, the larger backdrop against which all other astrological influences are measured at this time. 

The last time Saturn and Neptune met at 0 degrees of Aries, it preceded the invention of the wheel and ushered in the dawn of civilization - predating recorded history, in 4,361 BC. 

Neptune brings dreams, compassion, frequencies from the higher realms of Creation, and the dissolving of all that must be washed away to experience Heaven on Earth. Saturn is the planet of manifestation, effort, self-discipline, and the capacity to build something meaningful that can stand the test of time. With these planets having met at Zero Point in Aries, the very beginning point of the Western Zodiac (think Big Bang energy!), we are in a period of:
​

• Finding the courage to bring new dreams to life by boldly envisioning a better world for ourselves and others, and doing whatever is necessary to see it through
• Finding our own unique spiritual path and callings
• Activating our ability to radiate our energy out for self-determination instead of taking on the intentions and energies of those around us.

To say that this is unprecedented times is not hyperbole. This conjunction sets the stage for the birthing of a whole new world, the next big jump in human evolution, spiritually and otherwise. 

​The Current Saturn-Pluto Cycle 

Saturday's SATURN-PLUTO sextile plugs into this monumental shift. We also need to explore its meaning in the context of the beginning of the current SATURN-PLUTO cycle, which began on January 12, 2020.

Think back to what was happening for you in January 2020 - specifically, around January 12, 2020. This was the date of the SATURN-PLUTO conjunction that kicked off the current cycle.

This planetary merger brought the crumbling of many structures that would require significant overhaul in the coming years, and profound inner work and self-examination to accomplish this, individually and collectively.

Pluto is personal power, catharsis, transmutation, and regeneration. Saturn is structures, "The Establishment," authority, limitations, and boundaries.

The meeting of these cosmic forces brought necessary crumbling so we could rebuild that which was ready to be dismantled. The goal? To rise from more solid foundations than ever - the Phoenix born of the ashes, knowing its strength, knowing itself as empowered and eternal and whole.

To help you understand the power of the Saturn-Pluto cycle and how profoundly it affects those affected by it most, I share my story of physical illness and healing (TL;DR, it all fell apart in 2020 after the first Pluto-driven crisis in 2013, and I am emerging from the cocoon stronger, wiser, and more empowered than ever!)

I lived the effects of this conjunction by way of a complete endocrine system crumbling after a head injury years before that in 2013 (for those who speak astrologese, the concussion coincided with the Uranus-Pluto square as Pluto was conjunct my natal Mercury, and in the throes of my Saturn return...months before I felt the calling to begin studying astrology in 2014!). After a one-time black tea consumption followed by a long cross-country ski outing, I was laid flat, as if all the vitality had been siphoned from me. No matter what I did, I could not regain my energy. Weeks later, I was bedridden and feeling little to no vitality. I couldn't work, couldn't go up and down the stairs at home more than a few times a day, and couldn't do any shopping or chores on my own. As someone who thrives on movement - think long hikes, skiing, all the silent sports and as many adventures as I can possibly muster - I was devastated.

In the weeks prior to this, I saw imagery of a complete structural crumbling in my meditations, dust and all. It was clear that some necessary crumbling was manifesting, but I didn't know what. It was frightening, and truly, the endocrine crumbling itself put my external life on hold for years, as anyone with chronic illness will tell you. I quit my job. I lost friends over the coming years. But I was determined to heal, to mine this challenge for all it had to teach me, and regain my strength and fly.

I was initially diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency, a condition recognized by many holistic professionals but not by most Western doctors. It took years before I found the right health professionals - an entire unofficial team including holistic and functional medicine doctors, functional neurologists, and a medical intuitive. They discovered the root-of-the-root cause of my chronic fatigue. It was hypothalamus dysregulation, caused by the concussion years prior in 2013, masquerading as adrenal insufficiency due to the brain not sending down cortisol as my body needed it.

A brilliant functional neurologist cued me into the cure. He prescribed sunrise light therapy - yes, being up at dawn each day to greet the sun and reset my body's circadian rhythms - along with targeted hormone supplementing prescribed by a functional medicine doctor. 

Now, at the sextile - 2.5 years after committing to waking at sunrise daily to receive that precious light, 6 years after my endocrine crumbling, and 13 years after the concussion - I am well on the way to complete healing, and strong enough to begin building again with entrepreneurship endeavors. And very spontaneously, I got the nudge to record and share my first-ever channeled message the day before the Saturn-Pluto sextile. It was not something I had planned, but transpired because one thread led to another and my guidance nudged me to do it then.

(As of editing this post on March 29, 2026, I have just experienced one of the biggest spiritual, artistic, and career epiphanies since the concussion that will begin to shape the whole of my offerings going forward. I can't wait to share more with you as things evolve! The life-altering effects of Saturn-Pluto continue!)

​Collectively...

Consider what was happening in January 2020. COVID brought a near-complete shutdown to everything, with many people experiencing crumbling and resets in many parts of life. The changes happening then began to revolutionize the way we live and work in the Western world - the work-from-home movement, more people getting out in nature to the point of overrunning US national parks, the van life movement, and so on. 

Think back to what was happening in your life in January of 2020. If you have personal planets or points near 23 of Capricorn and the cardinal signs, you would have been profoundly impacted. By now, you will have lived through the intense trials and "tower moments" to reap the long-awaited first rewards of the work you've done since then.

SATURN-PLUTO: The Next Phase
Sextiles bring exciting potential that requires follow-through, and following through feels good. Kelly Surtees has described this aspect like "skipping while holding hands," an analogy that I love. With sextiles, when we listen to our inner nudges and take opportunities as inspiration comes, beautiful things can blossom! As we experience this waxing, or opening sextile, with the potentials of the Saturn-Pluto cycle moving towards a point of full manifestation in October 2034, we continue to build incredible things on a more solid foundation than we had prior to their conjunction.

Despite the blessings, it's not sunshine and roses when Saturn and Pluto are involved. But the end results of our efforts can be long-lasting and incredible (even legendary!). It takes work, self-honesty, and a willingness to commit to making changes for the long haul even if it doesn't feel good while doing it. But I can tell you from personal experience that the journey, and refusing to settle for anything less than our absolute highest visions for healing and success, is worth it.

Pluto in Aquarius since late 2024 is a power to the people transit, bringing revolution, mass awakenings, and radical shifts around community and the human family in general (we will also see continued innovation in technology and become acquainted with its dark side, but I digress).

Saturn in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius together spark manifestations related to what we're building to make our lives better - think personal goals, business, and the like. Visions you've had for ages connected to living your essence, and embodying that courageous spark required to be YOU so you can bring your deepest dreams to life.

Conscious Channeling - Wisdom, Perspectives, and Spiritual Practices to Support You at This Time

As my guides brought through in the channeling below, many of us are at a moment of harvesting the first fruits of long years of labor despite the chaos of the world around us. If you've been immersed in shadow work, soul healing, holding visions for personal endeavors of any kind, you might experience moments where things finally begin to come together.              2)  Sometimes dates and logistics don't come through well in channelings, being in such a right-brained consciousness 
​                   - logistics, the guides being outside of linear time, variations in timelines, etc. At one point, you'll hear my
                   guides say that the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries was 4,000-some years ago, but it was
                   actually about 6,400 years ago; the date of that conjunction was 4,361 BC. It was also said that the sun would be
                   between Saturn and Neptune at the moment of the Saturn-Pluto sextile's exactitude, but the sun was two degrees
                   past Saturn then. Perhaps it is important for us to tune into the moment that the sun was between them while the
                   sextile was still close to exactitude and applying, since midpoint activations are very powerful indeed!
